I don't know, the CL seems to be an anti-cop magnet if you ask me...

just get the tickets dropped man, tell your lawyer to call up the cop that ticketed you, scare him up a little, he'll drop it for a nice bottle of crown royal.... hahaha that sounded kinda ghetto but i've seen a cop drop a ticket for a nice little gift of good whiskey no joke... thats the most i've paid but otherwise a call from your lawyer should be sufficient hah

As stated above, the CL definitely flies under a cops radar.

However, I did get one in a trap set up in a 35 to 25 zone coming into Wilmington, doing 41 because I was passing an idiot. Cop dropped it to 34 so it was $50 and done.

Zero

Only got 2 speeding tickets ever. 1 in my Explorer, 1 in a 99 E55 Benz.

Explorer was the 1 time I didn't take my V1 out of the CLS.

The E55 I had a cheap K40 detector & was doing 120+. I was able to slow down to 109 but the cop tagged me at 109.

I speed everywhere.

Well when i had my explorer i had about 10 tickets and then my first CL i got about 2 and then it got totalled. None with the 03 Altima and 1 with my 01 CLS. I have terrible luck with the Illinois police. I am known in 3 different counties. It sux but knowing the locals has deffinitely helped.

Man all you guys are lucky!! I guess I just am unlucky, or the cops in NC just don't have any better things to do. Or it could be, this is my third car and all of the other ones before now have been slow compared to what I am used to, before I had a 2 jeep XJ's.

All I know is that I don't get tickets anymore. Back a few years ago when I had my 95 GSR and I was 19-20. I had something like ten tickets in 2 years, suspended liscence for like 2 months and I still can't drive in NY because of it. My insurance is finally recovering from all that now that im over 25. Cops dont fuck with the stock cl-s and I fly around my city all day long ripping gears and such. But the again where im from theres lots of ricers, and illegals driving around taking all the attention of me.

I think that as long as you drive a reasonably nice car you won't get pulled over very often (unless you drive like a madman). Cops in general are looking for the bigger busts and those usually come with the beat up shit boxes that you see driving down the road (drugs, etc).

Personally I've received one ticket in four years with my CLS but before that I got a ton of tickets (~15 over five years if I had to guess). All of those tickets except the one in the CLS were in NY though. NY is one over-policed mother fucker of a state. To be fair I used to drive a real shit box back then in my college days.

Ask for a suspension of prosecution. They charge you the full fee for the ticket but as long as you don't have any more moving violations within a year (some places are within the same county, some are within the same state, just depends on if they have everything linked together and have access to check) the ticket doesn't go on your record. It's helped me out several times in the past. Having a dad that was a district attorney and having your mom's husband be a cop doesn't hurt either.

Pulled over just today, as a matter of fact, for the first time in 15 years. I was merging onto I-205 and all three lanes were clear, so I floored it to hear that SC whine. Ran it up to about 100 and let off.

Unfortunately, a Clackamas Co sherrif, driving a Charger, saw me from a 1/2 mile back, and he punched it too. I was doing 65 when he rolled up behind me and put on the lights.

Long story short, he let me off with a warning because he didn't have me on radar, and he didn't want to ruin my perfect driving record I thanked him profusely and promised never to do it again.

I dunno if the type of car played into his decision to let me off, but I know he saw the boost gauge. He also warned me that tinted license plate covers were illegal in Oregon, which I'm not sure I believe or not.

You got extra lucky! I bet that your age played a big role in the cops decision to let you off. Every time I get a ticket I bet as soon as the cop comes up and sees a young man in the drivers seat in a nice car, he stops and thinks " man I wish I had enough money to buy toys like this, oooohhh but I am a cop and am only makin 20-25K a year and can't!" so lets give this young man a ticket so I will feel better about myself

You should run out and buy a Mega Lotto ticket. You're one lucky guy!

Maybe the cop was impressed that it took him so long to catch up to you

Since you say pulled over, did you get off all four times?

I know what you mean about the whine. I just got mine back from the dealer. They replaced the front input shaft seal on the gearbox and the rear main seal under warranty. While they were in there, I had them replace a few of the clutch components for good measure.

Got my HBP, Boomslang harness, and E-Manage blue but no time. Hopefully I'll get mine installed next month.

I went out for a little drive around town earlier and I still have a smile on my face.

No tickets for me in the CL-S yet

Last one I got was almost 4 years ago in the TL-S I had.

2. polite to him.

Busted for 21 over = large fine and huge insurance rape.....busted for 19 over = small fine and less insurance rape

Another close call, sounds like you got lucky. Last time I got pulled over was Feb 07 about 12 AM ET or 1 AM I had
a couple beers, and drinkin does make you want to speed, and I was goin 60 somethin in a 50 and I was headin home and I looked in my rear view and some blue lights!! Ohhhhh hell, long story short he asked if I was drinkin, and I said yes to be honest, he pulled me out of the car and did a sobriety test and passed, and then did the breathalizer, and passed!! After that he let me go about my way but wrote me a good ole speeding ticket!!

You got my type of luck!! I used whats called a PJC here in NC and I have no more chances basically, and if I get caught again I might as well let the insurance put some KY jelly in my asshole!!

Believe it or not ive gotten around 25 tickets, mostly moving violations and speeding tickets. Every single time ive gotten a ticket I go to court talk to the officer and I ended up with no points and just paying the fine. To this day my insurance hasnt changed one bit and I have 0 points on my license.

Got one for 79 in a 50, when all I was doing was passing in the wrong place with a stomp of the gas. For those of you who hire lawyers to fight your traffic tickets - grow up and slow down. Face the penalties of your actions and deal with the consequences. I'm not paying a lawyer to remove points....I just keep them off myself by driving well 99% of the time.

Traffic school, here I come.

Man thats really, really hard to believe, but if you say so I am not gonna call you a liar, you got a parent or somethin that knows all the judges or somethin man, cause most of the time you can't even talk to the cops.
