Throttle body or not.

I have a 2001 CL Premium. Every so often the engine dies, and I have to wait for the engine to cool down and restart the motor. I have a OBD II code reader and not seeing any codes. My initial assessment points to the throttle body. The body has 3 sensors plugs on it. Is it one of the 3 sensors: if so which one?

No telling what your issue is without some kind of DTC to give direction.
Search car-part.com locally for a cheap replacement throttle body with sensors, last time I looked there were like 12 pages for the CL-P.
Found a Service Bulletin that may come close to your issue, look it over and check to see if your car's VIN falls within the range listed.
Good Luck!

Thank you for the TSB. The TSB does describe my problem. The reason I thought it was the throttle body because I had a very similar problem with my 2006 Honda CRV. The fault codes I got from the CRV points to the throttle body. The TSB points to the range of 1A000001 to 1A012396. My car VIN ends in 1A024962. I did buy a rebuilt throttle body from eBay, but the throat of the rebuilt unit is slightly smaller. The OEM unit measured 2.70 inches and the rebuilt measured 2.60 inches. I tighten the clamp down all the way and the air leak is very apparent. There are 3 sensors on the throttle body. The bottom one measures the coolant temperature. Based on symptoms having the car cool down before restarting I was thinking it might be that.

16410-P8E-A02 is the current throttle body part number for the CL-P, it replaces 16410-P8E-A01.
These TB's fit the vehicles below; therefore, it is possible you don't have an OEM replacement & they sent you something else?
It may be prudent to recheck the ebay listing for compatibility with the part number above.
Better yet, post a link to the ebay vendor you purchased it from, if possible.

The bottom sensor, #2 below, is the idle air control valve, the top one, #12, is the map sensor.
The red arrow points to the throttle position sensor which is incorporated into the TB assembly; however, a replacement can be found by searching the part number, IIRC'ly.

I had always thought any Honda hot start-up problem was always the PGM-FI relay (aka fuel pump relay) acting up. Pull out the relay and reflow the big solder joints, which crack over time...
