Thoughts on Z-max
I was recently watchin speed TV and I saw a commercial for Z-max, an additive to the oils already in your car. It garauntees an improvement in gas mileage in newer cars, improved performance (+horse power), soak into metal, and claims to be good for the engine parts that come in contact with it.

So what do you guys think? Can additives like this have these kinds of effects? And if so, what kind of long term effects could it possibly have?
It costs about $50-$55 bucks Canadian so probably around $40 US. If you have already used this product, was it WORTH it? Apparently you have to maintain your car with Z-max every 6mths.
Just putting this one out there, let me know.

What up mane. I am not a car expert or claim to know much about everyone's car, but i wouldn't us that zmax stuff on a acura. I had a 88 fiero Gt and my brother put that mess in there, the car ran weird for a while, it seemed a little quicker, but maybe it was my imagination. But i do know this to be a reality- there are better things to spend fifty dollars on. Plus, from what I have heard from friends who use "miricle" additives is that even if it does make a preformance increase, they are not going ot last longer than the tank of gas or oil you add it 2. Hope this helps you in your decision, whatever it make be- good luck.

i see this issue as mind vs matter. if you think that adding zmax will help your car than do it. i mean as long as you think that it will help than that is all that matters...

Zmax and the other companies that make claims that arent substantiated have been sued and the government has forced them to send out refund checks. Its complete BS, dont buy it. Do a search on google and you'll see what I'm talking about.
