Those with XM Radio Installed
What make and model XM Radio setups do you have attached to the factory headunit? Where can you get the blitzsafe adapter to go into the cd changer controls? How does it work (what do you push on the factory headunit to get it to work? Do you need a special blitzsafe model to work with a specific XM tuner? Also do you have to run seperate power/ground/remote wires (like for an amplifer) to get the tuner and controller to work? If so where did you tap into for the power? Where did you install the controller? What model antenna did you buy and where did you mount it?
I appreciate all info returned!

I have the alpine XM tuner add-on thingy.
streeteffectz.com is where i bought my blitzsafe.
it is model specific, so figure out which tuner you want first.
i don't know about the power/ground/remote 'cuz the isntaller did it.
the "CD" button toggles between the XM tuner and OEM CD changer.
here is the setup with pics of the antenna and controller:

Pioneer XM reciever with Blitzsafe custom mounted into former ashtray .I purchased the reciever ,antenna (small pioneer model ),and Blitzsafe from New York Auto Sounds .I installed it myself works great with my Monsoon stereo in my VW GTI.
For me to use it i turn on the radio which turns on the XM in the trunk and the display in the center console .Then I select CD player and the radio gets the digital signal directly through the cable that would normally be used for the optional 6 disc changer in the trunk .It is my understanding that Pioneer XM decoders also allow the addtion of a 6 disc changer that will play through the same cable so that you can still add a Pioneer 6 disc in the trunk if you so desire to do so .I may do this later but my VW has a single disc in dash so for now this is well enough for me .
