Yeah, I 've seen them before, but I want to have the smaller bottles to easily measure out the 4.6 qts I need. Once I have the smaller bottles, though, for 5W-30 and 10W-30, I'll buy the big boys and pour into the little ones for measuring.

I'm pretty sure its marked on the side of the jug with a window to see the oil level. I used to buy Castrol GTX in 5 quart jugs from WALMART. they were marked.

I refuse to shop at Walmart.

I'd rather pay the extra 3 bucks and support the local stores.

Good find man....I'll have to pick some up, I'm due. Do they have 0-30?

Pure Adrenalin.....what are local stores? For me here in Boston it's only gas stations (who don't seem to have what I want, syn 1-30) or AutoZone's who are big chains as well. I don't think we have small shops for buying oil.

I go to advanced auto, seems to have the 0w-20 (mobil 1) I use in the CL, should I be using something else?

I used to check wal-mart but never found it, very hard to find the 0w-20 as it is.

They are marked. Easy to use. The only reason for a Wal-Mart experience.

walmart has a history of going into a new area and taking all the business from the local area then shutting the store down after a couple years and basically the local areas are f*cked...
But thats for Ramblings...

I've found it here in Ohio. Except when I got it it was $17 for the 5 quart jug. Those jugs are awesome for putting your used oil in too.

Change your weight. I see you live in SoCal. Try 5W-30. The weather here is warm enough to use anything, but gas mileage will be affected if you use a higher weight.

Have a look at the back of the latest March 04 R&T, page 133 titled "HONDA OIL" (the question is being asked by the owner of a 3.2 TL Type-S RE: 5W-20, etc):

I'd type the whole mess out, but most of it has been run into the ground here.

At the end they mention:

"Finally, one shop we queried regarding your letter, Jackson Racing, has been servicing Honda/Acura vehicles for years. They use only 10W-30, albeit in mild-to-hot southern California. Their recommendation was to use 10W-30 and change it often -- sage advice from Honda specialists used to dealing with the firm's close-tolerance engines."

Look, if I was cruising down the HWY and putting on 20K miles a year doing mostly long commutes, I'd probably have already switched to Amsoil 5w-20. However, with multiple starts, comes condensation issues that have little to do with oil quality differences that are hard to measure (Mobil 1 vs. Amsoil). IOW, it's better to just toss the filter and oil and insure that everything is clean. So, if you go back to the same 5K change and the ease of driving by Pep Boys, well…

Hey, there are a lot of products that I just don’t bother with by the time I look into the cost of storage and shipping.

-- my opinion at end --

This started out as a cost issue but anyway,, I will check out the r/t tonight,, I use 0w30 all year,, the condensation is a issue with the filter only (IMO by data I found) I use oil analysis every 20k miles and this should be done by all until personal useage will dictate how often to change oil. My TBN's are 7-8 after 10k when new petro oil is 8-9 sooo I could leave it in longer but I don't (I do have my limits) I am from the old school of changing every 3k,, trust me I was on needles until after my first 10k test. I know honda/ acura mechs and they do push 3k changes with mobil1. $$profit$$ take over common sense with them,, also PAO based oil flows better in close tolerance engines, this has been proven and it also removes heat better. We use PAO for cooling liquid in our aircraft we build. Mobil1 is good ,, testing will increase confidence how long to leave it in there. Amsoil is the 3 most synthetic oil sold and there is a dealer near you, just ask amsoil who it is,,, they'll store anything you need. jesus way to long, but a good oil debate has been missing here,,,
