Those with a Helms Manual.... suspension help please.

Those with a Helms Manual.... suspension help please.

I need the torque specs for the front strut and rear shock bolts. I'm installing them and I want to get the factory specs correct.

Also, is an impact/air gun really needed for the installation of the struts/shocks (top nut, etc.)?

Air tools arent required, but they sure make the day go by faster. I've done it both ways, lets just say I'd rather use air tools everytime for that job.

I still have yet to torque mine bolts properly. I'll post the specs later when I get to my manual.

yeah, i need those torque specs too. I used the old "its feels snug to me" method last time. :o

If you are talking about the ones on top of the struts (3 bolts front / 2 rear) they are 37 ft-lbs.

As promised.......


3 bolts on top of the struts = 37ft/lbs
2 bolts on strut tower brace = 12 ft/lbs
