Those eyelet things on the trunk lid

When you take the Acura letters off the trunk. No problem, they were put on with that double sided glue. Once removed, no holes. Howver the Acura symbol above the letters. It fastens in with two small holes, about a half inch apart from each other. So once removed one is left with the two small holes.

Has any company made dodads that fit inside of those holes?
Or the easiest way to fill them in?
2001 CL-s.
I remember seeing another car long ago that had some kind of cool creative thing to put in the holes. Made them look like two eyes and then had a face around them.

My friend used to put tabs that were the same body color in the holes for the front license plate. They were oval shaped so i don't know how they would look on the trunk.

I think the cleanest look would be to have the holes filled with bondo. Most people probably just leave the symbol because it costs more then most people are willing to pay to have the holes bondoed and painted.

please tell me that you really don't want a face on your trunk lid. if you really want the badge off,i think you would be better off going to a body shop and getting that tooken care of. gl

Cleanest way would be to have the holes welded shut... you shouldn't use bondo unless you have too... Weld, grind, and then a slight coat of bondo if needed... then paint to match.

I actually saw 2 seperate cars with this. The eyes only one looked cool. The face one looked like a chicks car. Dont want the face.

Welding sounds good, but i want to do all this for under 5 bucks. Doesn't sound like weld, sand and paint is gonna happen.

Bondo won't work. It'll crack the first time you slam your trunk lid.
