For those with Comptech Springs

What shocks do you use? why?

I've decided to go with Comptech Springs and everyone I talk to tells me that if im getting new springs, I should get new shocks (cuz the stock shocks will wear out quicker) ... comments?

Thanks!

also, is it true that Acura warranty is not affected/risked if we are using Comptech parts?

Using stock shocks with Comptech springs b/c I was too cheap to switch to Konis. I'll switch to Konis when the stock ones wear out.

In the FAQ section there's a good thread explaining how aftermarket parts can affect your warranty, basically, if Acura can't prove that the aftermarket part in question didn't directly contribute to the malfunction, or whatever it is needing warranty repair, the warranty isn't voided. I had mine installed by a dealer just in case.

Same here. I'll buy new shocks when the stocks are blown.

I agree %100...new shocks once old ones are blown.... Mike B @ comptech even told me that most ppl that do get the comptech springs stick with the factory shocks.

I put Koni yellows on when I changed to Comptech springs and the car handled very well but the ride quality really suffered in my opinion.

It bugged me enough so that I paid money to put the stock shocks back on and garage the Koni's.

Most people who have put on the Koni's are happy - I wasn't.

When my stock shocks where out on me, I'm hoping there will be some good progressive coilovers available - maybe some Tein's

Water Rabbit, aren't the Konis adjustable ?
If so were they still too rough even at a lower setting ?
