Is there a way?........

to stop the parking lights from blinking when I unlock/lock my car with the remote?

I looked in the owner's manual and did a search but did not come up with anything. My old Maxima had this option, hopefully this car has it too.

Thanks in advance.

I dont think so, unless you splice into the hid switching mechasism then they will only go on when the hids go on ( its a little more comlicated than that)

why dont you want they coming on ??

I hooked up the signal wire for the relay for my fog light's HID into the parking light. Now everytime I unlock/lock my car my ballasts fire up for a couple of seconds.

I'll just hook up a switch to it tomorrow.

Thanks everyone for the responses. My fogs are brighter than my headlights now, guess it's time for a retrofit.

I did the same thing LOL, thats what I thought you did

I ended up hooking mine up an ignition switch(relayed) , and a switch so when I turn my car on the hid fogs come on, and I can turn them off when I want

I also hooked hid high beems, so I have my fogs as DRLs

I didn't want this to happen or to remember to have to turn them off so I reran a the signal wire back to my low beams...much easier for me since I never run just the fogs alone.

I originally had the signal wire running off my low beams that the fogs turned on with my headlights. I had a hard time aiming them as my headlights overpowered my fogs.

When I installed HID's, I rewired them to my parking so I can just turn on my fogs by themselves to aim them. Since they're brighter than my headlights now, I really didn't have to re-wire them in the first place.

Why not run the fogs independently from everything else? Use 14awg wiring, directly to the battery. Wire in a switch too. If you wire it correctly they will turn off when the car is off.

Couldn't sleep last nite so I stayed up until 4 am re-wiring and aiming my fogs. All is well now, they are off when the car is off.

Quick question about aiming them though. At 25 ft they are 4 inches below my headlight's "cutoff" line, beyond that they go higher since they are pointing upward.

Is this okay? I would hate to think that I'm blinding other drivers.

Mine are on a TL switch. If I leave it on they blink with the alarm. If I leave the switch off they don't.
But no our "alarm" is very basic.

^ i agree on both fronts.

this is why HID fogs aren't on my to do list anytime soon. lol

I wanna just get some LED super bright bulbs and put them in and call it a day.

But they are 80$ !!!! 18xs brighter though than a normal LED so I am still considering it.

I just want them to not LOOK yellowish when my lights are so nice and bright. and the LEDs would fix that up..
