I've had my Legend for like eight years...traveled the same roads do pretty much the same shit, not to mention following behind too closely 18 wheelers , but still not a crack dent or anything on the windshield. Now with the CL Ive gotten a star shaped crack a few weeks ago, and was bumed, but when I washed my car today and looked closly at the wind shield there had got to be about 10 little chips on them, hardly noticable, because they looked like bug splats but it can be felt and and seen if you pay attention to it. This really sucks!!!!! Does anyone have similar problems?

If your windshield glass is chipped, unfortunately you cannot fix it. You wouldn't get clarity.

Cracked glass seems to fix better at those winsheild glass repair shops.

Many insurance companies waive their deductible for these kinds of winshield repair.

what shawn said.

at my old house, there were only 2 garages, so my car at that time (93 infiniti j30t) was outside at night..and lets just say, there are lots of people that didnt like me back then..

insurance took care of it, no questions.

What is this glass repair you guys are talking about? I know of these guys on the side of roads that advertise fixing cracked glass for like $10, but i always assumed that it was a scam, because you can't fix cracked glass, as far as chipped glass I don't know. So how much does a new windshield cost anyways?
BTW the star shaped crack is a little smaller in diameter than a dime, so is it even worth it to replace?
