Mercury,

What size T1-S Proxes did you install on your factory rims, stock 215/50-17's or did you change the size and/or aspect ratio?

Technique,

I notice that a lot of guys go to 235/45-17's on aftermarket wheels, but I'm concerned that decreasing my tire diameter while and keeping my 17" stock wheels could screw up the accuracy of my speedometer and, consquently my NAVI functionality.

The difference in revs per mile is only around 0.5%. Check out this link:

Thanks, H4mm3rm4n!

The site is reallly cool, and shows you graphically with corresponding numerical listings EXACTLY what happens as you change tire sizes. The superimposing of the before/after tire images is really helpful!

My pleasure.

I see from your profile that you enjoy blues music, and that you have upgraded your sound system. I enjoy the same type of music (funky jazz and blues). How you would describe your current setup compared to stock, and what made you choose the components you have?

Don't be concerned, there is no effect on either the speedo or nav...

There is almost no change in speedo readings and there are NO Navi problems at all that I see. The only thing that I do notice is at 80 or so road noise is a bit higher but not at all loud, my passanger didn't even notice it, only that it rides a bit harder than stock rubber. I feel also that in throwing the car around a turn it tends to lift a bit more. The force is greater on the springs, sways etc, and I can feel the pressure on the wheels to break contact with the ground but they won't! Not a peep from these things! Can't wait to auto-X !!!
