Has anyone of you guys installed a SC on your car? If so, what dealer in Texas is known to be mod friendly and what is the install charge for such project? BTW I have the 6spd CL and Iam seriously considering the SC, but I want some peace of mind with the dealer that installs it and to have some sort of warranty on the work.
I spoke with the guys at Gunn in San Antonio, but they dont seem to be open about the issue. Also I called McDavid in Austin and they have not installed any SC on the CL, but can get me the charger for 4800.00 plus labor.
Any info is appreciated. Thanks

Umm you live in LAREDO! That's not really Texas
You are looking at a LONG DRIVE to get this done. What about New Mexico?
If all else fails McDavid in Austin may have not installed one yet, but they are VERY mod friendly when dealing with Comptech. They usually have a CL/TL on their showroom floor with a Comptech package installed.

i think your best bet is to take the cl-s and SC to a reputable performance shop that would actually do the work
GUNN is not a mod friendly dealership and i dont know too much about Mcdavid but they seem like nice people???
since you have a 6speed im not really sure why you are worried about warranty work. the SC should only void certain parts of your warranty so like brakes and A/C should not be affected. probably the drive train, tranny, clutch would be not covered underwarranty.
If you are considering to get the SC just find a shop that WOULD install it and make sure they have some good credibility for their work...

I read El Paso instead of Laredo! OOOOPPPPPSSSS!
I did the plans to put a gas station into an existing HEB down in Laredo about 3 years ago. I used to have to drive down there for planning commission meetings. It is actually a nice drive. You get to see that huge prison off the side of the highway.

THANKS guys! I post back later with an update.
BTW I spoke with the guys at Gilman Acura in Houston and they can get me and install comptech stuff, but mentioned that if I did a SC on the CL that I would blow my entire warranty to the car. HOw can that happen? If my power window goes out thats not cover by my warranty because I have a SC, I think they are full of shit.
