Test drive: Chevy Venture

Okay, not exactly a test drive. It was a rental on vacation. I went on vacation with my fiance', her sister, and her parents so we needed a big vehicle. I would have preferred a sport ute but we ended up in a Chevy Venture. I have a few comments but otherwise this is sort of a worthless joke post. The minivan pretty much sucked...with the A/C on it sucked worse. At 8000ft elevation in Wyoming (Yellowstone) the van it had to work hard. Misc comments...Why did Chevy decide that the light that shows which gear you are in would be yellow, when yellow generally is saved for warning lights? I kept thinking something was wrong. Also, is there a reason why one side rear door is automatic but the other is not? Seriously...I just don't know. In it's defense, it got fair gas mileage for the size it was. Styling was bland but I wasn't expecting anything grand. Bah..it's a minivan.

Every time I was going up hill and it downshifted my fiance's father said "oink" since the thing was a frikkin pig! Pretty funny if you were there.

Long story short...I could not WAIT to get back to the CL-S.

This was probably my worst rental story...anyone else have a worse one?

Welcome back, bro! You start the new thing yet? Big doins, already.

that's the only thing minivans are good for, road trips. I'd hate to have to drive one every day.
