So I was driving a few days ago when all of a sudden my temperature needle dropped all the way to the bottom (cold) and my check engine light came on just as the needle was returning to its normal position at a little less than halfway. Any idea what that might have been? The check engine light has gone away but I'm hoping it was nothing major.

 

the temp sensor might have gone bad. have someone check for the code

 

Time to make a trip to Autozone.

 

no intention of highjacking the thread, but my temp guage reads as the car is running somewhat cool....needle is a little lower than half way...normal?

 

yes, it is normal.......mine had never gotten abouve half way!

 

With the Mugen mods your needle will be a LOT lower during cold season, and during cruising speeds.

 

Maybe 2-3 lines lower than normal
