Hahah...actually that is not my normal height. This was just to see how low the Teins can go. Maximum lowest setting the Teins can go. I do have to say, I'm rather slightly disappointed...thought it could go lower. I'll have more pics a little later on.

Nope none of these pics are at the height I normally drive at. I drove around like this for awhile (1 day) just to test it. My normal height, I clear my gaps around with a slight rake...thinking of raising the rear though to get more of a rake. I definitely want racinghart m5s...volks would be nice too . Thanks for the compliments!

Not bad! Nice drop...is that an Eibach drop? BTW, the Teins were only $850 courtesy of Arnold (Blxmjx)

How was the ride when you tested it for a day?
And what is a rake?

<-- I'm dumb.

The ride actually wasn't that bad. You just have to becareful, and yes you do have to slighly angle on the higher speed bumps, but I went up and down my drive way fine. But I also think what helps is the fact that I have the dampeners set to max stiffness. I've had that setting since the Teins were in. Rake is what the Comptech drop is. It's where the front is lower than the rear so as opposed to jucee187's drop where the car is even, a rake would make the rear higher.

I would love to, but I already lost a car to a man hole cover. I think i've learned my $3500 lesson.

the click counts are from the hardest setting. ie: 0 clicks is the stiffiest and 16 clicks is the softest.

Does a rake improve the performance off-the-line? Or is it simply for looks?

No not really...it's more aesthetics than anything else. What would help increase off the line is adjustable shocks or just really stiff shocks in general.

don't you guys need to have the camber kits set-up????? I'm just guessing. because I heard that you need a camber kit everytime you lower your car........

THanks man..yeah i like these rims.. i havent seen anyone with them ... on any car... the lip makes it look smaller tho..
offset im not too sure but its an 18x8 size rim...
the rims are good quality (ALT).. no dents yet.. after hitting a lot of nasty bumps..on the highway.. and potholes..
I got em for $2600 cash CDN with rubber and lugs and locks mounted balanced and installed.. from WHEELS DIRECT...
thats about $1625 USD .. at todays exchange rate

Well it comes down to personal preference on camber kits. You don't absolutely need them...unless you were trying to get your tires to bald evenly. But with cambers, you can't really drop your car as low as you would like, and ever with cambers if you go too low, you will hit some stuff in your tirewell.

depends on the car man.. our cars i dont think you need one unless its more than 3inch drop i think.. mine is 2.2 front 2.0 rear.. all i did after that was get the wheels realigned and thats it.. back to stock specs...

First off, the car looks HOT with that drop.

Second, get an alignment done and see how far out of spec you are. You should get an alignment anyway when you switch suspension parts. It seems CLs vary greatly in whether or not they need camber kits. I needed front and back kits for mine.

Third, I would have had my Teins in on Tuesday but found out I needed the OEM isolators because Tein doesn't include any. They came in today but my tech can't do the install again until next Monday or Tuesday. Hopefully when he does I'll get a pic of a Nex SS next to a Tein.

Finally, here's how low I dropped mine originally on the Nex SS coilovers, and it could go a bunch lower (but it wouldn't be able to move cuz it would rub). Looks like the Teins might not have as much height length as the Nex, but at least you can adjust strut stiffness, which is why I upgraded to Teins:
