i was just wondering if the teins are set at the stiffest setting and was left like that for a prolonged time..will it damage or affect the life of the shock? thanks in advnace.

i doubt it. are you talking about w/ them installed? they're really rough on 16.

yea with them installed. i like it stiff. anyone else got any feedback?

i doubt you will want to run w/ them all the way stiff but i'm sure they are designed to operate properly through the whole adjustment range.

y is that? ive had them on the stiffest since i had them and their fine. 1 set was about couple months and my new set so far 2 days.

it must be smooth pavement down there in cali. when i set my rear shocks all the way stiff the ride is bouncy as hell.

why the fawk did you get a new set?

pavement aint go great here. i know the roads so its ok. i got a new set cuz i was goning to pass the car down and buy my own car, so i sold everythin. but then later down the line something car up so now im keepin the car.

I had tiens ss and had it LOW. I also live in So Cal. where 95.9% of the time some road contruction is going on. I usually keep them on 12, but i had them on 14, and each time i hit a pot hole, or when the road is leveled due to the contruction *where the new road meets the old road and they haven't fix it yet, there's like a 2.5 inch different in the road* my car will eat it hard. The car would absorb all the shock and not the teins

But do they affect the life? I "think" that having them on the hardest/stiffest would reduced the life compared to having it soft. Stock suspension wears out if we lower our cars, so assuming you leave it on stiff it would have the same affect. Just my thought, but might be wrong.

Just a quick question, I thought 16 was the softest and 0 was the stiffest. Do I have it backward? With EDFC set to 0, it feels like a race car on mine.

EDFC let you adjust the dampning rate without getting out of the car. You can see the pic in my gallery.

Think of it this way...when you set your shocks stiffer, it let's less compression in order to keep from the "dippping" effect. So thus when you hit potholes, you'll feel it. The stiffer the setting, the harder or more constant hits you keep taking will decrease the life of the shock fast and possibly blow them if it set's too stiff.

Well if Tein says it doesn't then it doesn't. But I still believe if u hit a pothole or something and your suspension is max stiffness, something is bound to give. It's gas inside so something has to blow under imense pressure right?
