Does anyone know what the difference is with Tein's Basic Coilover and the SS Superstreet Coilovers? I saw both on www.autoparts.com and there is like a $250 difference.

I believe the superstreets are more "sporty" meaning you have more options to adjust them to how stiff and soft the ride and performance is. Most people get the superstreet, but they are known to bottom out on rough/ uneven roads.

 

SS have 16 ways of dampening and higher spring rates. more room for adjustability

 

does anyone on this forum have the Tein Basics?

 

Basics have no damper adjustment.

 

Does anyone have any feedback on the basics...how much of a drop and how stiff of a drive is it?

 

the height is adjustable. nobody knows how stiff they are because nobody has them. everyone has the SS.
