TECHRON fuel system cleaner
Did anybody use it? Is it a good idea to use it every 30K miles or so? Or its just a waste of money? Its recommended on http://www.ahmotor.com/.

I used to use it back in the old days with my first and second Integras 1987-1992. Complete and utter waste of money.
But then again maybe that's why those two cars ran so well up to and over 150,000 miles. Anyway, the money I spent on all those little bottles was too much in my mind.

noticeable improvement in gas mileage? acceleration?
doesn't chevron gasoline you get from the pump, doesn't it already have techron in it?
i guess i didn't find the $5 bottle any better than the 99 cent stp. ok i'm gonna go look for a bottle to try it out again, can't hurt.

I use techtron. I put it in all my cars once a year.
Porsche 911 guys swear by it. They load up w/ a couple of bottles before an oil change. They also like Berrymans Chemtool.
Do a search for it on the Pelican Parts Technical BBS and you'll find many endorcements for techtron.
Basicly it cleans the injectors (or if the car is new, it keeps 'em clean) and removes carbon deposits in the combustion chamber.
I noticed improved (smoother) idle on my 79 VW bus after I used it, and plan on using it in the CLS every year too.

i put a bottle of the 20 gallon techron fuel system cleaner in today. first time the car has had any, 36,500 miles.
i heard a little bit of ping the other day at wot in 3rd, low rpm's. maybe this will help. i've heard it actually works.

Well at the pump, Chevron Techron is "watered down" or diluted i believe. I mean how cost effective would that be to put a high concentration additive into commercial fuel; way too costly.
If you plan to store your car for a long time though, it's best to use Techron before filling up at the pump on an empty tank. I read about this on the techron site.
