Technical Service Bulletin

I have a 2001 Certified Acura CL with an extended warranty (7 years , 100,000 miles), and i have aout 74,000 miles on the car. I was wondering if i bring my car to the dealer will they fix the warped rotors for free. I saw that warped rotors are in the Technical Service Bulletin and i heard that i could get things on the TSB fixed for free. Do you think i will have a problem if i bring m car to the dealer?

I HIGHLY doubt it. With that many miles, its considered a regular maintnence item. If your car had 20k miles, then it would be a different story.

Your best bet is to just replace them with higher quality aftermarket brakes. They will be less likely to warp, and offer better braking.

BTW, are these original brakes?

Cause if they are, I don't see much to complain about. 75k miles is damn good for brakes.

I replaced the brakes about 15,000 miles ago and got the rotors cut. I changed the brakes myself, i didnt go to the dealer. Maybe i will try something, maybe if i go to the dealer i will offer to pay for the pads and see what they will do about the warped rotors. Wish me luck and i will keep you updated.

Cutting the OEM rotors is worthless. I'm surprised you got 15K out of them.

Upgrade the rotors, I was amazingly surprised the increase in stopping power I got last month going from OEM to brembo d/s and Hawk Pads.
