Tech Questions for 03 CLP

I have had my car for about 5 months now, crappy thing is i've racked up 8k kilometers since then. hahaha I've had like two oil changes already.

I think it may be time to do my brakes now, I am at 28k kilometers. Are the front rotors and rear rotors easy to remove?! If I need to get the rotors machined or something then I need to take them off. Or even replace them.

I've had problems changing them on my 2001 Accord Coupe v6 so.

as well, any recalls I should know about? mine is an 03 CLP auto of course, without Navi because I am in Canada.

Anything I should know about this years model.
should i be scared about the tranny?! I haven't really seen any tranny complaints on this forum for 03 clp's

I hope its not as bad as my 2001 accord coupe v6 where they replaced the tranny 6 times.
=)

And I was thinking of getting the Comptech supercharger, but there is no listing for CLP Auto's.

I've just inherited about 20g's I wanna blow it on my car, suggestions?!
I wanna get the Lip kit, but i think it's only for TL's and I have to modify them. I wanna look as stock as possible, so nothing big nothing flashy for exterior.
I am already working on my audio system. Already put in about 10g's for that.

Now I am looking for performace parts. I bought the wrong intake so I think I am selling it off.
I obviously wanna do intake and exhaust
probably a injen cold air 1 piece, I am looking for a greddy exhaust but I want the stock exhaust tips, I don't like the big openings.
Like I said I want this car to be a sleeper.

I need suggestions and ideas. I was thinking of getting the Type S rims instead, but I don't think they would fit over the brembo brake kit i am considering to buy.

So far my ideas are as follows:

Injen Cold Air Intake 1 Piece
Comptech Supercharger(have to find one that works with my CLP)
Headers?(Suggestions?)
Springs and Shocks(Suggestions?! I want the smooth ride of stock but a tiny bit lower)
Rims ( I wanna look as stock as possible so nothing flashy and sutff just plain but nice looking)
Exhaust( was thinking of Greddy but looking for an SP serious but I don't think they make it, nothing too loud, nice and quiet, just louder than stock)

Thanks in advance for input.

Welcome.

2 oil changes in 5 months....try one almost every 6 to 8 weeks. It's a good drive, plus you guys have a lot of open space in Canada.

I would take the car to the dealer and complain about the brakes. I didn't need new ones til about 40K miles. And even then, the mechanic said I could have gotten a bit more out of them. You have about 18K miles on yours.

Since you have the cash, I would say get all Comptech parts. Headers, Icebox and exhaust. I had a AEM CAI, and I just put in an Icebox instead. I like the Icebox better. The new Comptech springs are supposed to be really good.

Good luck!

I saw a post or two about comptech springs having issues?!
I wanna get the comptech supercharger but I can't find a listing for my CLP auto.

I only get like 300 kilometers on a tank of 65 litres!
that's insane when I put in 94 octane paying like $1.20 per litre!
I do all city driving though but everywhere I go is not less than 20 minutes max.
Small City right.

But yeah brakes seem to be low. I don't know if they will warranty it for me, I bought it as a demo car, last one they had at all the dealers in my area of an 03 CL
otherwise I would've gotten the CLS 6speed.

But my warranty is going up in about 5 months for my 3 year.

I am looking for recalls moreso.. I don't have a clue, anywhere where you can search for recalls rather then call the acura hotline and wait forever?!

I don't know if my tranny is acting up, sometimes it seems funny, but not very noticable, I don't know if i should be a nagging prick to the dealer.

But anyone with the same model same year have problems with tranny yet? or recalls?

Invest that 20g's and then go buy a Porsche 911 TT

To be honest, I am considering giving up the car. All these problems I hear about it, the bad milage I get from it. High maintainence. Consistant drop in value.
Also maybe start geting a family car, I know I am only 20 but I have a future to look for ahead, unless I just get another car entirely for that, but like this car has so lil performance parts, so hard to find.
