TB fixed

Since the end of last year, I had some problems with my throttle body and gas pedal because my car's revs would fluctuate at idle and the accelerator pedal was always sticky. I went into the dealer about 4 times to get it fixed, but they just lubbed it and sent me off. Couple weeks later, it would act up again. Then more recently, my car would stall when at idle. So FINALLY, they took a better look at my car and found that the throttle cable was BENT! To fix the problem, they gave me a new TB and cable, all under warranty.

There is nothing worse however, than having to diagnose it yourself. This is what you pay good money for?

Gotta love Acura...

Their solution for everything is to lube it up

Thats one thing that makes me wish I had a Benz...

My local Mercedes dealer's service garage is a huge glass building which connects to a lobby area. So you can sit and enjoy tea & croissants while you watch everything they do to your car.

When you buy one of their cars they give you a tour down the red carpet in their service station...

Their mechanics dress the whole car in plastic wrap inside and out before they touch it... to make sure they dont get grease on anything. And then to top that off.. their mechanics constantly clean themselves and change out of their dirty suits into new ones... its pretty amazing.

Then they hand wash your car with fresh water / rags.

Its like a luxury spa for your car...

Maybe Benz's like to break down so often cuz they want to get a day of pampering

The local Bimmer/Range/Jag dealer is fairly similar... they need to be to compete since they are directly next door to the Benz dealer.

The local Lexus dealer is another story. They are right across the street from Acura... and their no better.

Best I do, is that I figure what is the problem, arm myself with info needed to solve the problem and in writing. Noticed why I am stuck on this forum!

The service manager, and every service rep would put a wild grin on their faces when I show up. Service Manager, said once: "OMG you are one of the few who tells me what to do/diagnose/solve your problem.... It seems is much easier then calling ACURA hot line
