Taking the resonater out

If i get the resonater taking out will it sound any different or the same.
Im thinking about it but if it does sound any different then the hell with it.

i would think that the reason you would want to take the resonator out is more for performance.....like better gas economy, better acceleration, better over all performance just like adding a cai....and not only for the sound. i plan on doing the same thing when i get the time. right now i put a k&n filter in. no money for a cai!!

Removing the resonator will give your car a slightly more agressive sound at speed. In terms of performance, nothing that you could tell by your Butt-o-Meter ....although placebo is a good thing for the psyches

I'd be interested to see a dyno of a cls with a stock air-box, k&n filter and the resonator removed. I just put my k&n in last week and have noticed slightly better gas mileage, and it sounds like it is breathing a little better.

i just put a k/n drop in too. 1st tankfull went to 24mpg from 21/22. coincidence?
deeper breathing too

get some headers and you'll get even better milage
