taking car to dealer to fix

I know that if i take my car to a dealership to have them fix something body related, they will take it to their bodyshop. However, is it safe to assume that the bodyshop will do a free detail on my car after fixing it? just curious

I have found that it is better to take it to a shop that you trust for body work. The dealerships are very good at just about everything else but like you said they will end up sending it to there bodyshop and i have never heard of them doing a free detail job after. Im just speaking from experience because i was in an accident and i was told to go to a local bodyshop, so i used on that i had used before and they did a great job. Probly cheeper to. just my two cents man.

It depends on the extent of the damages. if it's minor prolly not. but when doors and stuff get replaced it allows dust and crap inside the car. Plus moving it around all the time, and dirty body and paint guys working on it. a good shop will return you a clean car, in and out.

welll the reason i even considered sending it to the dealer was because my insurance company mentioned that they have hard times dealing with some body shops (good-expensive ones), and usually preferred dealer shops. so then i thought that dealer shops were usually the good expensive ones, so I figured why not? is this true?
