Tailgaters
What I've noticed is now that I drive a car with a red S like Superman, people want to race. When I was young (ahem, last year) I would do it, but now I rather enjoy inexpensive insurance. Cut to chase:
Onramp onto freeway and an older car (maybe older style MR2 by headlights) is about a foot off my rear bumper while I idly merge into traffic with a minivan in front. I pull to the left lane when there's an opening and go about my way in 6th gear @ 63 mph. Maintain this speed for a few miles while the car weaves through traffic to catch up and does the whole chicken dance ride your bumper thing. Well, I see random brake lights ahead and KNOW there is a cop on the side of the highway. So I get to the bend and let off the gas, coast down to about 60. Dumba*s being such believes firmly that by almost touching his license plate to my bumper will catalyze me to drop to third and walk away as if he was in reverse.
Cop sees his idiocy and affirms tailgating isn't as cool as Chester. Short story short, cop turns on his 13 trillion candle power lights and pulls the numbnut over for tailgating while I drive off into the sunset.

Thats showing his toyota driving ass.
One question though since I only own a 2.3 CL, does it not bog your engine down going that slow in sixth gear? The reason I ask is because going to slow in a gear can be worse than going to fast in a gear. But , like I said I sure as hell dont own a 3.2 with the sixth. The only six speed ive ever driven was a formula 1 firebird with 300 hp ( only like 220 at the wheels) and that was the worst car Ive ever been in.

60mph in 6th is around 2100 rpm.. Doesn't seem to bog at all. Rather, the car still has enough power that low to keep pace up hills while on cruise control. I drove quite a bit of my first thousand miles last week in 6th gear (with A/C) and got around 27mpg...
