sway and strunt bar?

what is the different between sway and strunt bar?
different funtion? if so, which one is better (in turn of reducing the body roll)?

I'm look at the Eibach Pro-control bar (like the look of it)
and Comptech sway bar (heard nothing but good thing about it).

What do u guys think? any other suggestions (brand)?
Or get the comptech and get somthing go over it or with it?

Thanks for the help.

By the way, I know very little about car. so any info will help!!!

i dont believe the eibach strut bar will fit the cl??

i think only the neuspeed strut tower bar will only fit. i suggest u get the strut bar because it will help keep the front of the car more planted...

The strut bar stops the front of the car from twisting when cornering (since there is little metal left in the engine compartment after they tub it out to put the motor in).

The CL-S comes with a strut bar installed (it connects the two strut towers together to make the front rigid).

The sway bar attempts to stop body roll. It fastens to the body and to the suspension.

I bought the Comptech sways (27mm solid front, 19mm solid rear), but I find that the rear of the car still rolls quite a bit. Eibach has a 27mm/22mm kit in development. Personally, I'd wait for that one.

A little FYI on sways (just because you're probably wondering why the hell they don't put good ones on in the factory):

In a production car, they design in a bunch of understeer (you go into a corner too fast, the car starts to lean, and tends not to steer where you want it to go). The idea is they protect the driver from ignorance. If you push the car hard, it starts to lean, you get freaked, and back off the gas.

Ideally, you want a balanced car (no understeer or oversteer). You want the car to be flat in the corners. This makes it handle the best and makes it fastest on a road coarse.

The catch is if you really push a neutral car like this, you get no warning when you've pushed it too far. The car ends up flat-spinning into the ditch. Not cool to watch the taillights of your car swinging by.

So, aftermarket sways really reduce the amount of understeer, but I find that Comptech still could have did more (and still make it a safe vehicle).
