The CAI with headers rock. I though the car was fast with the (100 octane, 1/8 tank, and super light wheels). Tonight, I had my wife in the car (I wasn't going too crazy) for a couple of quick runs in a deserted area. The car was so much faster with a full tank, about 100lbs of books in the back, and regular gas, that it was hard to keep from laughing. As long as John Law isn't around, the sound and pull is great. The car is so much faster now, that it will take me a while to get used to it.

The biggest difference now, is the extreme difference when the VTEC comes in. I knew when it came in when stock. When it hits about 5+K RPM, it just goes NUTS. I can now see why some people would want to shift out of D1->D2->D3 before the redline; it is climbing so fast, that I have to move it around 7000 or I hit the limiter before I can advance the shifter or even the SS.

I can hardly wait for a trip to the 100 octane pump, with 1/4 tank, and car emptied out (a little diet would hurt either ).

So, after much procrastination, I am really happy!

I'm learning to do the same thing... Shift faster or hit the rev limiter!!! Once the vtec kicks in you don't have much time to shift. I'm starting to get better at it after a few weeks of practice.

Yup, BeatyaAll was doing this when I first met him, and eversince then I've been doing the same. If you have headers try moving the lever at around 6800 or 6900 then it will actually shift RIGHT before fuel cut off. Took me about a month and about 20~25 fuel cutt offs to get it perfect.
