surging at low rpm

Hello all,

Have had an issue for a little while and have not been able to figure it out. The issue is when I'm at low rpm, between 2000 and 2600rpm, it will surge until I give it more gas then it goes back to normal. I have only noticed it when the car is cold/cool. I was informed to clean the throttle body, which I did though it was pretty clean. Anyone have any other ideas? Thanks in advance.

Clean your idle air control valve. If this doesn't correct the issue, try resetting your ecu. I hope this helps!

Thanks for your input. I don't think it could be only because my idle is fine. It sits about 750 and does not vary. From what I read about the IAC valve, if it was an issue, my RPM's would change, mostly higher and I could get an light.engine light. The only time it seems to happen is when the engine is still cold/cool and I'm at between 2200 and 2500 RPM. Strange, I know.

Mine surged at highway speeds for a while (a couple years). I could never figure out what it was.

Could be unrelated, but my tranny ended up dying (original at 273k). Replaced it with AV6. No surging since.
