Arrow suppercharger with AEM CAI

I currently have an AEM CAI and by way of another one of my post I was told that I would need Comptech's CAI instead. I looked at the directions for the suppercharger and understand that they obviously designed this to match up with their products. My question is: why can't I used my AEM? It would seem that all that would be required would be cutting the top off a bit so it would join up with the suppercharger. Can this be done? I know anything is possible but this would save me from trading or buying something else. Any pros or cons? Thank you all in advance. Clinton

Probably could be done with a 90 degree elbow and some couplings to match up with the throttle body that now sits on the blower 90 degrees and rotated.

The guys in the 3gen tl forums modified a cai to work on their comptech supercharger. May want to check there. It may give you some ideas.

withoutcomp fabricated one his for his supercharger. He didn't use the AEM intake though, just regular 3" piping. Pretty sure your AEM would not work unless you really start cutting it up due to where the TB is moved to.

He wouldn't need the elbow. THe AT S/C kit has a 90 degree elbow off the throttle body already for the VSA throttle body to mount to, so the VSA throttle body is facing towards the driver side fender already.

Been a while since I've seen an auto kit. I stand corrected.

The last mini meet I went to I saw a 3rd Gen TL with a C/T SC and he cut his CAI in half to make that elbow. He said that the IceBox was junk compared to the AEM CAI. Definately noticeable and wasn't a waste of time.
