Superchargers?????

I e-mailed Comptech the other day and they told me they are working on a Supercharger for the Accord V6. He assured me it would work for the CL-S also. Are their any others out yet, or on the way you guys know of?

Guess I forgot to ask the most important question, I thought they wouldn't know until it was closer to being finalized. For $12,000 I'll get me all the speed I want...a GSX-R1000 or a 929RR.

OK, OK, or an R1, but I think they're still overpriced here in Miami, that's why I didn't mention it. At least over 12k last I heard.

A twin turbo setup wouldn't exactly be faster. I'd rather go with single turbo setup. Waste of money if you ask me 12,000 for a twin. Kinda ridiculous as seeing most supra guys ditch the small turbo for a single setup which is alot faster.. more lag... but definately faster.

$12,000 added onto the price would put it in the same range as the Corvette. I'll take a Camaro SS over a SCed CL.

It has lots of lag and you only need a big single turbo if you plan on pushing more than 600+hp...

You don't decide on the best set-up based on cost, you factor that in later. The plumbing nightmare to symetrically power a single large turbine would out-cost a twin turbo unit. The underhood installation of two "micro-turbo's" is easier, generates less heat, and has significantly less lag than a mid-frame or large-frame turbo. And a turbo'd 7 PSI -S would definitely outrun a 7 PSI S/C car. This is due to the parasitic load losses of a S/C. The small turbo's will almost nullify lag so the traditional throttle response advantage of a S/C is negatted. $.02 from a crazy south Floridian.

Can anyone confirm that the CL-S will be available in a 6-speed? All this talk but no hard hitting proof..
