Sweet Jesus..... read below
If your engine is turbocharged or supercharges, the power gains can be phenomenal because these engines are very sensitive to intake air flow.

It might fit nicely on top of the splash shield behind the fog.. I need to take measurements... But I still like the other one with that giant filter and dual inlets... Get myself a hard plastic Y and fish it up through that hole in the fender and BOOM... tie that sucker right in..
I still might try just the filter route since I can always pass that off to someone with an icebox...I

That is the one I am ordering today. Although the chrome end cap is not needed, the size is right and it is only $37.

With the boost we will be running our cars will be the equivalent to a 300ci motor. With a 7000 RPM redline we need at least 100 sq. in. for filtering area.
The RU-2590 has an area of 107 sq. in. so it is large enough.

Oh, and BTW, you guys are crazy...
IMO, little to nothing will be gained with this filter change along with intake alterations. This is a blown vehicle now and unless there are major obstructions, the blower will suck the air in. Attention should be placed on insuring that non-underhood air is ingested.

Actually no, it is a standard K&N cone filter. I assume you are refering to this statement
That is for items such as 25-0810 and is a pre-cleaner wrap for (literally) off-road use or very dusty enviorments.
Part #'s that begin with "25-" are foam filter wraps.

I just wanted to be able to open the hood and have those two filters jump out and bite you!
Leaving the filter in the Ice Box keeps you from injesting water until you drive it into a lake. With a lowered car, and a cai with the filter down in the fender is a risk, allbeit not a big one, but still,...just don't drive thru standing water unless you're sure how deep it is.
Where is the $37.00 price from? ....and yes, I did think that was a foam filter.

Sheit, two pages for an air filter.
Payne Tech is going to re-make the Max pulley for me no problem. I told them to go .600 larger than the stock stepper pulley.

I wish I knew... I threw a code.... but my stupid ass, adjusted the IAC and disconnected the battery....
The car is on jack stands awaiting me to finish the brakes.. Hopefully I can get it done tomorrow night or Sunday...
I got my OBDII scan tool today in the mail... so I will see if I throw another code, since my stupid ass cleared it..
Was rolling 65MPH, 6th gear down the highway at 5 a.m. 58 Degrees outside... 2K RPM... stepped on the gas to pass a car and the car fell right on it;s face and through a CEL...![Mad](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/mad.gif)
We will see if I fixed it with the IAC, but I did not hear back from Steve on this, so I hope that is all it is...

P.S. Eric found out his PROBLEM with the detonation!!!
He found out Jens used a ground outside the ECU wiring harness... so he disconnected it and attached it where is was suppose to be... This happened because Eric was one of the first with the ESM /Supercharger and they did not come with directions...
I am going to solder my connection this weekend if I get a chance..
