I will not be suprised if after the IC is in place and with 8 PSI boost that rolling on the throttle in 2nd will break them loose.

The boost has not changed. With the IMRC off 7.5 psi, when it was on, it was 6.5 psi.

I went back out to re-torque the header bolts an hour after the initial test run,.... the intake manifold was stil very, very, hot. The Swain coating was cold to the touch!

Cool... about time you got that done..... TAKE ANY EXHAUST MEASUREMENTS??..... I got mine... PM me with yours so we can order these dumps this week...

I am sure by you taking off the IMRC it made it easier for you to get to the rear bank on the headers too...LOL..I still have not unplugged mine yet...

awaiting your PM

Got the Rotora 4 piston with new pads for the front & rear, matching rear slotted rotors, SS lines and 5mm spacers for when I put the stock rims back on in the winter...

The guy from Wilwood would not budge on price he offered them for 1700 plus shipping...(1743 total)(took off a whole 50 bucks)..(fook that)... So my money went to Baty and I got the ROTORA kit.. he will have something up for the board after I do the install next weekend..

17 inches of sweetness at the flick of a switch...

The test fit looks real good... I am e-mail the dimensions to DMH performance now...... Once it is complete and I get it installed I am sending it back to him so he can do the CAD drawing and make a copy of it, so you guys can order it, if you wish..

The 2 flanges that he will supply for me to tach weld on so they are PERFECT... since if they are off 10 degrees it will screw everything up... Once I have it all done he will have it ready as a direct bolt on....

OK, I ran some of the numbers on the two pulleys in question. We already know the following sizes of SC drive portion of the alternator pulleys:

3.000 Inch for the Standard Pulley
3.275 Inch for the Higher Boost Pulley

As we discussed, from here it might be better to swap the SC pulley to get even more boost. The standard SC pulley measures about 3.92 inches. The following are estimated sizes and their associated boost levels for the SC pulley.

3.6 Inch should generate about 7.5 PSI boost
3.5 Inch should run it up to about 8.0 PSI boost.

Now all we need to do is send off out SC drive pulley to get copied and a smaller one made. Hopefully just in time for the completion of the intercooler.
So 3.5 Inch?

Are these numbers using the standard, or high boost pulley?

I see you found the post two pages back.

This was assuming the higher boost alternator was already installed. IMO, this is the combination which should be run in order to retain the same belt.

But I would hold off on the pulley fabrication for the time being. It would be fine to send it to them to take measurements, etc. But we do not know what the boost will do with the new manifold.

I'm actually thinking it might drop the boost some from what we are seeing. But we'll have to see about that though. I hope to have it on the car within two weeks. At that point we can be sure about what size to have them make.

Sounds good. I will tell him to get what he needs to make it, and send it back. Final size will follow.

I'm lucky if they sleep four hours at a time. Most of the time they wake every 2 - 3 hours and want to feed. Compile this with Jennifer nursing and we are doing well to get 4 - 5 hours sleep in a night.

But I keep hearing that it will get easier soon.

Not yet, I wanted to test fit the plate and take some measurements first which will be done this weekend. So I'll probably go ahead and order it Monday and may have it by the end of the week or the first of the following week.

As soon as they start with cereal, they should sleep longer.

Yea, the doctors say to wait until 4 - 6 months but we plan on starting them at 3 months. I have yet to find a compelling argument and evidence as to why they can't start cereal sooner.

So we plan on getting them going ASAP as we can't survive much longer like this. 4.5 weeks and counting and I assume we may start weaning it in sooner than that.

Just thought of something,... ,....I took the IMRC off and there is a nice bracket attached to it that might be able to be used to support the IC at the back fo the engine.

Yep, I was going to look at that when it was in place. At a minimum the mounting points could be used which is what I suspect will happen.

Mom's milk is good as long as possible, but adding the cereal will help.

To all of you guys - Scalbert, Modaddict, smitty, and others - First, congrats on the children. They make life hectic but they also make life sweet. But I have a question. I know you're working on a pulley set up for increased PSI from the SC, and you're also working on an IC and manifold setup, with help from a machine shop and others. So when you get to your final setup are you going to post what you ended up with and the dyno results. And will you be helping other SC owners get a similar setup to maximize their output. The reason I ask is because I don't have the mechanical background to understand everything you guys are talking about but I'd also like to get a couple hundred more WHP out of my engine too. Assuming I don't go turbo.

Oh my.. after seeing this piece I want to tear my charger apart and spend the 500 bucks at the Harley dealership that Essarack Huot went to and get mine done.....

.... damn does this look good....

Got your e-mail Brad.. I printed everything out and it will accompany the pulley to Terry tomorrow..

Essarack has a ways to go on his project car, but I told him I would get this back to him ASAP, so I am sure Terry understands...

sit down, shut up and enjoy the information highway my friend.

Don't ask stupid questions...You should know better than that. We are not like other people who did upgrades months ago and Mystery Mods 1 & 2 and tease people about what they could get.... No one was born knowing everything, we all learn new things each and everyday... but people like that will rott in hell and I will make sure I send them there.!!!!....... be afraid, be very afraid... I can put them places people will never be able to find them....(insert deep scarey laugh)

So now that I finally got that off my chest... lets stick to the topic at hand....

Yes, all data will be available and any assistance will be offered for fellow J32A2 owners (and even the J30A if I can get it to fit). That is what the forum is about and we will continue to offer what we can.

I don't recall the exact offset, but the stock unit and Comptech unit did have an offset ring where it contacted the alternator. This may or may not be an issue but I can't remember if this was needed to clear part of the alternator.

Also, is that the higher boost Comptech pulley?? It looks larger than stock.
