Supercharger Part Number

Anyone know the Magnuson part number for the supercharger core used on the CL? It starts off as 20-62-xx-xx

Yep, put down 280whp and about 245tq and that's on stock restrictive exhaust, IMRC disconnected and no tune (currently running pretty rich). I should be able to easily get into the 300's once I figure out what I'll tune it with and get the exhaust upgraded and will try to videotape that dyno session

About 5-5.5 PSI. I have the HBP on. I'm peaking at 11.0 afr on the wideband at WOT.

Seems like you have some hp to gain with that A/F ratio. Tuning it for 12.1?

That's the plan, I just dont know what to go with. AEM EMS is too expensive, F/IC is unproven and emanage isn't liked by some tuners. Just have to think about it. And bigger exhaust. I'm sure I can free up 10-15hp if I go w/ something larger than 2"

Again some situation I am in lol. Alright this is what my game plan is. I agree standalone is to expensive, emanag is always there to fall back on unless nothing else works, but I am really am counting on Jproy to teach us how this AEM F/ic is going to work. I think it is just a matter of time that he will prove it to be an awesome piggyback, if I am wrong then i am going with Eblue. As for the exhaust, there are sooooooo many different variations out there I don't know what to go with. I am really picky about rasp and resonance. So I am leaving the stock exhaust on for the sleeper affect and going with an electric cut out system, all I have to do is push a button and there I go with open exhaust.

Yeah I thought about the cut-out too and may still go that route. I had the RT cat on and upgraded to the new RT cat Excelerate started selling that is 2.5" in/out. The rest is stock except my magnaflow mufflers. I may be able to get my hands on a Comptech system but if not I'll be going custom 2.5" all the way back. I dont wanna lose too much backpressure by going 3" even though I'll probably gain more power.
My tuner really likes the AEM EMS but for $1400 + the quirks of having a standalone (i.e. long start up times and shutdowns etc) I dont think I want to go that route. He just tuned a car w/ the AEM FI/C or tried to, but the car was having problems unrelated to the piggyback. He said the interface was nice though and seemed pretty simple. I think I may just bite the bullet and have him try it even though he hates all piggybacks lol.
Stage 1 axles from Gator will be installed this weekend. Also have other things up my sleeve that I'm thinking about.

you sure thats how much the gain will be after upgrading the exhaust because if so thats great. i have stock piping with hks axle-backs but im adding 2.5'' comptech catback piping to it.

Yep. The more you open the exhaust up the more power you free up. 2 inch exhaust on a supercharged/turbo'd car is VERY restrictive. The guy I got the s/c from dyno'd at about 298hp and he has the 2.5" comptech catback.

Yup, boost LOVES to flow. Id weld in a y-pipe with a dump to run open headers when you really want to make more power, and have it closed for normal driving.

A while ago my (drivers side axle?) snapped during spirited driving. A year before that my passenger side snapped. I'm guessing the timing was about right as our axles aren't the strongest and I'd put probably about 100k miles on mine before they failed. Anyway, the shop I go to said they had a guy in Florida that can make some heavy duty axles. They replaced my failed one w/ an OEM and sent the broken one down to the guy in Florida so he could fab something up. Not sure on the specs/details but I'll try to get that info as well as a contact number/name of the guy in Florida today. He said they should be good for a vehicle rated up to 400hp. They've been at the shop for months, I just never decided to put them in until now since I'm boosted.

Things are pretty slow around here lately

Glen @ Gator Axles - 407-353-5207

http://www.gatorracingaxles.com

Scroll down and click on the tech sheet to fill out a form. He's a pretty straightforward guy. Wont BS you. He wasn't sure exactly what was done to the axles my shop sent to him, and neither was the shop since it was probably 5 months ago that this stuff was done. They get axles from this guy all the time though. They're actually Stage 2 racing axles and supposedly the shaft was beefed up with a stronger grade material. Sorry for the sketchy details. I'll try to get some pics and more details the next time I go to the shop which should be the end of this week.
I have not had them installed yet, but will give more feedback when I do.

A few pics. I dont want to install them until I figure out what I'm doing with my clutch. Next time I'm at the shop I'll try to get exact specs and when I do get the installed I'll post pics of the stock axles for visual comparison purposes

No problem. They said it would drive just like stock. The real test would be to get an aftermarket clutch and do some 2-3k drops to see how it holds up.

I got mine for about $350. And these are new, they didn't rebuild my old axles. Again, I'm not sure what specs my shop gave them, I'll have to see if I can get that info if they even have it on record. Sorry for the sketchy details
