Supercharger Owners... where does your vaccum sit at idle?

From what i've seen most S/C's sit around 20 inHg at idle.

Mine has ALWAYS sat pegged at 30 inHg at idle. Just curious if anyone else had a different reading other than 20 inHg and if there's a reason for the difference.

It doesn't matter if you are S/C, Turbo or NA... the J32A2 should be 20inHg at idle

Is it causing a problem? If not I wouldn't worry about it, may it's a good thing to pull a high vacuum at idle. This tells me that either your gauge is malfunctioning or you intake system is tight, no leaks .

Are you talking about Fuel Pressure or Vaccum?

If its FP, then 20 at idle is too low, 30 at cruising is too low

But ~30 psi FP is too low for crusing? That's been my FP since the gauges went in... When I get on it, I top 100.

I've had my S/C for 5 days now.
At idle the vacuum rests at 20 and the FP rests at 35.

30inHg is basically an absolute vacuum. There wouldn't be enough O2 at that, basically no O2 molecules, vacuum level to keep the car running.

It must be the gauge then.
