Supercharger, Final Pic and Video

I finally got around to trimming and re-installing the engine covers. Now I just need to install the springs.

I have been thoroughly enjoying the blower as the power is addicting. As previously mentioned, I rarely take it to redline as the torque is sufficient to allow you to shift at 4k revs and stay well out in front of traffic.

Mileage has suffered some but not as bad as I expected. But this could be controlled by controlling my right foot.

I re-tested the boost by tapping into the bypass valve line and did see a little more boost, about 0.25 - 0.5 more at this location. I still haven't installed any one way valves yet but might get around to it tomorrow.

Below is a pic of the final install with engine covers. Following is a quick video of a few WOT pulls with the blower; you can definitely hear the blower whine. You can also determine the how quickly the revs climb, I took it near redline in 3rd and it comes up quick. I have only made a few WOT pulls making it into 4th. One was the other night on an on ramp. At the same point on the ramp before I would have been touching 90, I was touching 100 MPH this time.

A Couple of Pulls Video

No problem, coming up soon. Problem is with a manual it is difficult to hold a camera on the tach while driving and shifting. But I may be able to rig something similar to what I did for the road video.

Scalbert have you tried to keep the IMRC open at low rpm?

Any dyno coming soon?

I will be going to the dyno and testing the plates aspect. This should be done within the next two weeks.

If I had a 6-speed I would consider either a custom Turbo as did allmotor or SC, I would have to wait for to see the one from Jackson racing before I decide on which to buy.

That's awesome!!! The car sounds like it just wants to break loose at any given time. Can't wait to see the 1/4 mile improvements you make.

It takes me back to the Oregon meet and the ride I got in Comptech's CL-S. I need more power...LOL.

I hadn't even thought about which brand. I will probably go with 235/45/17's in size though.

Yeah do 235/45/17 and I would go with the toyos or the SO3's

Ohh and yeah some fly-bys would be sweet to...like have the wifey sit with the camera while you creep up and then nail the gas
