Supercharger belt probelm anybody help and console me.
Ok, so 3 days after I had the SC put it, the belt just disappeared. Don't know if it rolled off or snapped, but it was a brand new gatorback belt and it was gone. i noticed that i had no boost and checked.
So I drove to an autostore and picked up another belt, this one wasn't a gatorback and did look a little old. Either way, i said i have nothing to lose, if it snaps, I'll just take it back to my mechanic to reinstall the gatorback correctly.
SO I install, and observe, tension properlly (i think, no real teist, just a little in the belt)
and it looks straight. I drive off and snap, i hear it. i make a Uturn and rive home.
I check underhood and once again the SC belt is nowhere to be found, might be deep inside or underneath, BUUUUT, the Alternator belt is snapped and i see it after i pull it out. So now I have to drive 15-20 minutes to get to my mechanic on a car without an alternator belt.
Any solutions or expereices? I'm hoping to have the car running problem free asap.
How do you test alignment, or tension properly so i can really diagonose? and would a pulley with very small dings, as small as half a sesame seed have anythign to do with this? if so, where can i get one?

Ok, so I looked and the SC pulley is sunken in closer to the SC than the Alternator Pulley. I kno the kit was coming from an auto CL-s to a 6 speed, and it seems like a spacer would be a solution. We did see a spacer with the kit, but we didn't use it, i think we thought it was for soemthing else. Now is this common for the spacer to be installed on the SC pulley and not the alternator? if so, seems like a simple fix.
Now I got to go get an alternator pulley just to drive to the mechanic.wonder if that can be installed without taking out the SC.
