Supercharged by Comptech

So i got the car back on Thursday and it was well worth the 3+ month wait.

Totally transforms the car now and it’s a whole new beast. I totally agree with what has been said before in that it’s not neck breaking power but instead it feels like a larger engine has been slid under the hood.

Very smooth and controllable power delivery and that S/C whine is freaking intoxicating. Since I filled up on Friday I’ve already drove about 100 miles to just get the feel of the car and I’m already at 1/2 a tank. Just normal driving around I’ll almost never even get into boost however when it’s needed, its there.

The gauges work great and i had them done so they light up red at night. Looks real nice. I have the option of making them white or even light up green but i'll see how red grows on me.

I’m glad I went with the HBP right off the bat. I do need new tires though as I’ve already chirped the 3 to 4th shift. The max amount of boost i'm seeing is 6psi at WOT and it never rises above that. We did 2 checks with the gauges I have on now and we also did a few runs with another gauge taped to the windshield and that too maxed out at 6psi.

Tranny cooler is on and I had them replace the ATF fluid with Redline high temp. The ATF that came out was actually a perfect color. Looked damn good. Mugen cooling mods are on as well.

Money well spent and I couldn't be happier. I can see now what all the other S/C guys were talking about. I'm impressed and so is everyone who's gotten a ride in it. A buddy with a lightly modded 01 GT liked how smooth the delivery of power was as well.

Here's some pics; I’m heading back out to do some driving.

I hate you chap. Looks great. Red should be fine for the guages, I've heard that red light is very soothing on the eyes at night, thats why all audi's interior lights are red.

Is 6psi of boost where your supposed to be at?

Is a dyno and\or race track in your future?

congrats chaptorial. Im excited to hear that it runs so smooth. If you dont mind e asking, how much did the whole setup cost with the charger and install? Are you worried about voiding warranty?

Congrats and I am glad to hear you are using it and enjoying it. Just wait until it gets cooler and it will wake up even more..

And yep, simply a bigger engine feel. That boost sounds exactly right BTW!!!

If I remember correctly, in a previous post he had talked to Park Ave. Acura prior to getting the install done at a performance shop and had agreed upon the terms of the warranty, and that it would not be voided with the addition of the supercharger.

If this is wrong, Chap will correct it.

Chap has the HBP and 12v streetcharger pulley too. I'm sure I'll end up with that setup eventually but not for a few months... and certainly not until I get my squeeking pulley/bet and temperature "flare" problem fixed. I also called CT to get a new "Supercharged by Comptech" sticker since the one on my blower shaft was peeling off.

Chap's got the ultimate sleeper 5 A/T now! I'm predicting we see an I/C on there within a year too :P
