Supercharged 6 speed CL-S

Just to let people know -- I just listed a 2003 CL type S Navi w/ Comptech supercharger, headers, intake and exhaust with only 7800 on ebay. The auction number is 453313758 .

To comply with the rules of this board, if you want info on it, just go through to the ebay auction and check it out!

just posted

It was just posted -- sometimes it takes an hour or two for ebay auctions get up on the site. I can pull it up through my username, but not with a search. Give it a little time. Personally, I think all this car needs is a suspension kit, comptech sway bar and a set of 18's to really make it hot (And maybe a little shot of Nitrous... )

That's a very nice and clean car. I should get one. Oh wait, I forgot I already have one

That does have some seriously low miles on it. Looks like an early production of the Comptech SC because of the black body on the blower.

I've sold 25 cars on Ebay because none have them have gone the distance. I only put high demand cars on -- CL-S 6 Speed, GSR, Type R, NSX, etc. It is simply national advertising at a very low cost. We are a charter Acura Dealer that specializes in performance. It you were to get a copy of the Comptech products brochure, the pictures of the race cars in it are cars in my bosses race team. The tech that installed all these components built the Supercharged NSX that won the 2004 SCCA open class Championship, RMD. We know comptech and we know performance.

I agree the wheels do nothing for me (but what do you expect from a 65 year-old guy that bought it?)

Here are links to the Comptech dyno tests of their products on CL-S 6 Speed

First one is just headers and exhaust. Shows max increase of 32 HP at the wheels.

http://www.comptechusa.com/images/dyno/2000CLSplot.pdf

This one is ice box and supercharger only. It shows a max increase of 64 HP at the wheels.

http://www.comptechusa.com/images/d..._cls6spd_sc.pdf

They do not have a dyno test with all 4 components. But if you add 260 + 32 + 64, that's 256 minimum at the fly (because the 260 rating is at the fly and the other two are at the wheel.)

Hope these links are helpful!

BTW parts cost for S/C is $4500 plus shipping and installation.

Headers part cost is $1249 plus ship & install

Exhaust is $1095 for the stainless catback system plus ship & install

Intake is $280 plus install

Total parts cost w/o shipping and installation is $7124.00 I don't know what Comptech certified installers labor rates are like elsewhere, but ours is $115 /hour.

$280 Intake is included with the SC kit - not a separate item.

That's a beautiful car and someone will buy it. as for your prices, I'm not buying it, your just a saleman doing the pitch.

everyone on this board knows how much those items cost and not one person on here would pay 4500.00 for the SC. You can find them all day long in the parts houses for 3500.00 and up. As for the Icebox, it comes with the SC from Comptech. Also, knock off a few hundred on the headers and catback from comptech.

Very nice car, too bad for me that I didn't wait.

You are correct -- I was just pulling the prices individually off the comptech site. The parts prices I quoted are directly from their site.

Typoed the WHP below -- should read 274 WHP + 32 = 306 at the wheels. 13 percent more at fly means 345 HP

My boss doesn't like revealing the reserve prices, but an friendly hint would be in the range of a 2005 TSX

boy...people sure are concerned with your pricing on add-ons and horsepower, SpringsAcura....

he's just 'selling' the car....if you don't like it, don't buy it, but don't keep busting his balls...it's posted here to get the word out to potential buyers....leave it up to them to question the stats...

this car will sell.

What's your reserve price on Ebay?

edit-nevermind, got your answer on the reserve price.

Why do you care? The guy is lying out his ass and hes getting called out on it. Hes lucky no one sues for false advertisment with the"over $10000 in modifcation bs). Especially, almost evreyone on this board knows how much actual money really in invested in that car. Oh well, the guy already ruined his credibilty by lying like a little kid or a typical sale person.
Indeed, if i was interested in the car i would walk away just because hes a liar.....

I don't care....I just think it's stupid for people like you to "call him out" or whatever you want to call it...he's listing the "List Prices" that these items were installed for at the dealership that installed them in 2003, maybe 2002. Not what someone here could get these purchased and installed for. He's expressed that this is a RETAIL Acura Dealership....and he's listing what the costs were for the original purchaser....and he IS a salesperson...He's responded to every one of the "call outs".... to me, that's a lot less "little kid" than people calling him a liar for doing his job...

i agree with austnmike, listed prices and installed at the dealership. of course people can get the parts and installed for cheaper...but no need to bag on him.
