Nevermind,...these suck massive cock..
They appear to be round circular red dots from afar. During the day, they are dim. The problem is with our relective tail light housings. They need light to reflect in the housing in order to display that bright ass red light thoroughly across the housing...these bulbs just emit light directly forward..and they have almost no 360 degree light spreading capability.
I think they are good for turn signal since there is no "back-reflector" for the front turn signal housing.
Or if you have cleared your turn/corner lights, these would be kick ass since they are really bright in one direction.

One more thing..if you want to know how bright these little mofos are...you can!
If you have one of those Microsoft Intellimouse optical...look at the lens...it's as bright as that single light emitted from the mouse (of course the mouse dims itself after you pick it up-the light is as bright as the optical mouse light at full power).
To add to the effect, imagine 15 of these lights clustered into ONE unit and emitted as ONE UNIT. You'll see that it's truely BRIGHT!

Halogen?
At one time I had some adapters that allowed you to use a halogen bulb as a backup light. Anyone know if you can still get these? Maybe also for use as a brake light?

link to Osram (what a hassle):

Will auto redirect...
Select "AUTOMOTIVE LAMPS"
Scroll down, and under the subheading of "LAMPS FOR AUXILIARY LIGHTS", pick the link for HALOGEN PARKING LAMPS AND INDICATOR LAMPS.
There is info and pictures -- don't know how helpful. They do have 5W and 21W bulbs (same ratings should produce more light), but use same power.
BTW -- the stock Brake/Tail light lamp is a 12V - 21W/5W bulb and the stock rear turn lamps are 12V - 21W. The high mount brake light is a 21W bulb.
P.S. – the adaptors I found are just for the Honda/Acura high beam lamps (bigger bulbs)…
