on every single cold moring, when i drive, my sunroof rattles when i brake hard, or go over bumps. the rattle goes away when my inside of the car is warm. does any one know how to get rid of the rattle or what to do?

 

I thought there was a TSB on that. I think Acura will fix it for you. You might call them and and ask them about it.

 

Mine squeaks like a bitch. Tried the WD40. Didn't do shit.

 

Squeeking when it opens/closes is the grease, deal should do something with that.

The rattling is a known issue, Acura will put a thing layer of tape or something around the moon roof to resolve this problem, it should be covered under warranty, if not it shouldn't cost much at all.

 

Dealer has to reapply the teflon tape to my moonroof about twice a year. I guess it get hard or something and stops doing its job. I am gratefull that its the only thing that sqeaks because ive heard people complain about everything in the car sqeaking

 

I sprayed a heavy coat of WD40 onto the moonroof tracks and not heard a single sound in over a year...

 

Silicone spray works too, you have to re-apply every 3 or 4 months, and you don't want to get it all over cuz it dries kinda white.

when we do that service bulletin, we use di-electric grease on the glass' rubber seal

 

Even if you get all the TSBs to fix this issue, it may not fix it entirely. On mine, it still rattles and the source seems to come from the headliner hitting the sunshade.

Try this.....with the sunroof closed and the sunshade open, push up and down on the sunshade and see if you get a rattle. If you do, then there is likely no way to fix it. My dealer has tried to address this for me like 4 times and they were never successful.

 

No real fix for mine, they put the tape and it stopped the squeak but still rattled. Took it back 6 mos later and they put some oily shit on the rubber (looked godamn horrible, had to clean it real good) and it didnt help at all. I just keep the shade closed all the time, unless I have the roof back.
