This sucks!

They were scraping the road on the way to work and bunch of rocks hit my front window, this sucks... now I have a inch long crack

Do you guys know if this can be fixed withought replacing the window? Would Acura fix it? I want it to be done right so in case I have to replace the window it doesn't fly away after 10 miles.

Thanks

MA insurance covers glass 100%, so I would take it to the dealer and have them put in genuine Acura glass...you could probably get a loaner too!!

I don't believe that cracks can be fixed... you're going to need a new windshield. If you have glass coverage, you should be all set. Acura would not replace it for you without getting your insurance involved....

Same thing happened to when I had 1000 miles. Pissed me off. Some cracks can be repaired. I haven't looked into it yet but I plan to.

Depending on the size and how deep, a good glass company may be able to fix it. Basically, the will fill the crack and prevent it from spreading.

I know where I live, your insurance has to pay 100% to fix your glass at no cost to you.

I have one that is 17" long across the the driver side of the windshield. I had it fixed so it wont run anymore (since it was about 1" when it happened and that was about 2 weeks after I got the car) but you can still see it. I would get a new winshield but I always hear stories about how they are never the same....wind noise and leaks. Get it filled right away or it will run more or get a new windshield!!!!!

As long as it isn’t too big, in the drivers line of sight or too close to the edge it can be fixed without replacing the entire windshield.

I had one replaced on my last car. It was perfect. The guy came to my location and did the job. You couldn't tell the difference.

Sorry to hear that bro.

Samething happened on my TL last year, but it only left little chirp on my W/S. (no crack) I am glad that I don't have to replace my W/S because I don't want to loose the VIN on my W/S.

well if you think you got it bad we(my family) was on our road trip the summer after we got our odysee and we we're somewhere either in Colorado or Kansas and a stone got my mom's windshield (they put what I call "crack filler" in it.) it was okay for about 3-4 months then another stone got then they put on a fresh windshield.
i'd personally request for a new windshield

Windshields are a bitch...I just saw a video on how many people replace them wrongly. Touching the glass with their hands, not filling with the right stuff, etc...
