Successful V1 Hardwire

Hardwired the V1 yesterday. After 3weeks of hanging wires i needed to do something. It took my about 30mins total because didn't read the directions correctly when putting the power wire into the #12 fuse. I ran the wire across the ceiling where the glass and cloth meet and then down the inside of the
a-pillar into the fuse box. Then for the remote display I snaked the wire behind the plastic and came in along side the steering column. Looks real clean! I"ll post pics tommorrow. Thanks for the directions Shawn!

I used the accessory fuse. I figure if there was a short I don't want my wipers to go out

I snaked my remote wires behind the dash, through the center air vent, and mounted the display under the dash visor, just in front of the right gauge cluster near the little green key.

I tried it on my steering column, but it blocked those dash gauges (Temp/odo/trip).

If you get a chance, check out this quirk I had with my V1: http://www.acura-cl.com/cgi-bin/ulti...c&f=2&t=002931

I had the same problem as you did!!!!! Yesterday, i was waiting at a light and the sun was directly into the V1. I noticed that i hadn't turned it on so i did. No laser test. I was like wtf?? I turned it off and then turned it on again and the same thing happened. Direct sunlight overloading the V1 laser self-test? What does this mean for highway usage? Is it only with the self-test or does functionality suffer?
