Subframe brace/traction bars?

Went to the track tonight, wheel hop prevented me from launching very well. I remember coming across this the other day looking for a torque damper. Is this similar to a traction bar, or more for handling/body roll?

Is there anyone that makes 85a motor mounts for our cars? Any other wheel hop solutions?

I think the highest durometer mounts are 72a, I have some brand new ones for sale. XLR8 is the manufacturer.

Also, a torque damper is different than the link you posted to a lower brace. An engine torque damper like the Ingalls stiffy one may be more what you are thinking. The brace is really for body roll / sub frame torsion I believe.

More for handling. It will have no affect on wheel hop.

Hey guys,

Just wanted to chime in quick with a couple good ways to to cut back on wheel hop and get some better handling out of your TL/CL!

Innovative makes a mount set for these cars that come in a 75, 85, or 95A Durometer option. These will benefit all cars (higher power cars more so) since they allow you to keep power delivery direct, and in turn transfer more power to the ground! You can find more details and a place to pickup your own set on our online store here.

For improved handling you can really coilers are a good place to turn. These continue to stiffen the car up but cutting back on weight transfer, squat on launch, , dive on braking, and wheel hop. The Tein Street Advance Zs are our go to and can be found online here.

And you can't forget sway bars! Feel free to send us a PM if you need help getting setup!

Happy modding!
