Stupid V1 Question
Mine just came in yesterday 
Anyway - what exactly is the purpose of the little metal bar that connects the suction cups?? Should it be left there? Does it do anything at all??

It makes it easier to remove the suctions just push down a little and the suctions will come off..
However, I keep the suctions all the time attached... and I just slide slide out the unit...
