Stupid HEB Parking Lot DING ~!
Came back home from the grocery store and some bastard left a 3" long ding with scuff that needs to be buffed out on my front driver's side passenger. Do you think if I go back to HEB and complain to them they'll pay for it?

Ummm good luck! I hope it wasn't the one on Riverside. You know that one is allways mad packed and the parking spaces are very close together.

it wasn't just your daily ding... it's liek 3" long... gonna go tomorrow and have all my dings removed. shoudln't cost more than 200... I have li ke 5 dings I need taken out.
You're right... I should park in the bakc now. I think I'm just gonna drive my car ont he w/ends and take the bus the rest of the week. Cover it and leave it in the garage.

Not in a thousand years will HEB pay for ur damage... and its crazy for u to even ask them when they arent at fault.
Only chance u may have with them is if they have parking-lot cameras which clearly captured the car damaging urs.

Actually you do have a chance to get them to pay, if you can show that they knew there was a problem and didn't do anything reasonable to correct it. Like cart drop off areas and signs indicating that they should be used. YMMV

it's ok... I got it all fixed today... the guy charged me $35 but I gave him $40 since he didn't have any change for me. He did 3 other dings for me and even repaired this 3" wave in the metal I had on my driver's side door where acura made it a little imperfect and you could tell.
Good work. I'd recommend him. The price was pretty decent as well. Total of $140 for all 3 dings, dent on driver's side fender, and crease in the metal on the door b/c of Acura.

he's at the Acura dealership on Wednesdays in the afternoon generally. I'm scrambling through my phone book and I think his # is 512-845-8988. Not 100% sure... if you guys start calling and it's not the right number please let me know so we can correct it on here so some guy isn't getting a bunch of phone calls.

Thanks for the reply. I didn't call the number but I did talk to the dealership (David McDavid of Austin) and he comes every Wednesday. So I have a appt to get a door ding fixed +warranty work next week.

so I found the card... these guys have 2 numbers
512 970 3644
512 825 5564
I found the business card. The other number is either the guy's direct cell phone number or something.
