Well today I was going to the store after school and I try to park my car and it wouldn't shift past neutral. I got worried so I immediately took the car home. I tried many times to get the car into to park and nothing would work. So I parked my car in the garage and turned the ignition off, almost miraculously the car shifted into park. After I tried turning the car back on to see if my gears were alright. Now I can't get my car out of "PARK." Has anyone else had this problem. Any help would be much appreciated b/c I have no idea what to do.

stupid question....did you have the brake pedal pressed down when you were trying all this?

 

yeah had the brake pressed all the way down
