Stolen

I helped a friend move last Saturday, from NH to downtown Springfield, MA. He's living at Stockbridge Court apartments---the old Milton-Bradley mill.

I left his place around 8PM. A different buddy had traded vehicles with the mover....he has a truck. He came back for his truck at around 10 and gave the Integra back to the mover.

Sometime Sat nite, after all that, the Integra was stolen. It's a 96 GS-R.

It was found a couple days ago minus a motor and transmission. The motor was cam'd, had AEM gears, injectors, ignition, DC header, etc....

The cop said "welcome to Springfield". Dick.

If anyone hears about anything in the area for sale matching the description, please let me know.

Thanks

I'm sure, but it took very little effort to post this here...

He may have been stating the facts, but he managed to be a dick all at the same time. Amazing, I know

Could the guy who drove his car got a key made and then stole the car later that night??

When the car was found, how did the thief gain access to the inside?.. a broken window?

Did you take the inside door panel apart and search for scratch marks on the locking assembly?, incase they used a slim jim..

For those who dont know... Springfield, MA and Hartford, CT are within 20 minutes of each other... and their suburbs intersect.

I grew up two towns south of Hartford. There really is nothing good about that city. The Whalers used to play in the godforsaken mall downtown. WTF is that!!??!!

Funny how when insurance was booming like f*ck in the 70s and 80s, people with money didn't live in Hartford. They lived in West Hartford, Avon, Simsbury, Bloomfield even. I swear, the sidewalks are rolled up at night, cuz ain't nothin' goin' on after dark.

Springfield's worse, imo.

Not an option. Very good friend of us both.

When the car was found, how did the thief gain access to the inside?.. a broken window?
Not sure....didn't get all the details from my friend about that, except that the interior had been basically ripped out, then thrown back in. The seats were in it, but not bolted down. The rocker panel covers were off.....things like that. An amp was gone, as was a busted Kenwood head that was in the back seat at the time. The factory CD (that I lent him from my CL when his Kenwood broke) was still there. Must have known about the code thing, or they just don't dig factory units.

I grew up in Maine, so moving here was culture shock, among other things. I would NEVER live in Springfield OR Hartford, though they are fun places to go out on the weekends (Worthington St in S-field, Pig's Eye..Burboun..City Steam..in Hartford). I live way too close to Hartford now....moving a bit south in a month.
