Stock Road Lamp Part Number?

One of my fabulous stock road lamps is blown. I went looking for the replacement, but nobody carries it. Sure, Acura would be glad to sell me one for $$$$, but I don't want to have to go there. Has anyone bought replacements at auto parts stores?

Replace them with Polarg M6 and you'll like them.

everyone carries it. if you want the exact same as stock (weakass 5w in my opinion), the model is 194LL (LL is for "Long Life" bulbs).

but go with polargs or piaa xtreme whites...the bulb is a little larger and it's a tight fit, but it'll look about 3.6 times better (18w vs. 5w)

My EE background tells me to be wary of tripling the wattage due to heat dissipation. Can the housing and bulb socket take the extra heat from the 18W?

Can you buy these PolarGs at auto parts stores or online only?

the housings can take 18watts. i think i only heard one report of someone saying they have a little deformation 'cuz of the heat, but most people seem to have no problems.

i wouldn't go any higher than that though. trust me...i've been up to 35watts and have proof.

You'll have NO issues, unless your a showoff type that drives with their headlights on ALL THE TIME ! Then you may have an issue, but I expressed the same concern and I have no issues !

do you really want to schedule an appointment and drive to the dealer for a $2 fix that takes less than a 2 minutes?

OK, thanks all. For now it's the crappy 194 bulbs while my PolarGs are on order. I gotta put the crappy one in; I can stand to have one of my "eyes" out! :p
