Question Stock leaking front pipe replacement (flex section)

Here's the deal... my front pipe flex section is leaking exhaust gases before catalytic and it stinks outside and inside the car when the heater is on. I need to replace it obviously. Thinking of a header... maybe Megan or XS or something of that sort, but honestly do not want to deal with the welds cracking in a year and whatever other problems there could be. Because I was already burned once by one of Acurazine's beloved vendors here with an Alphawerks header that did not even fit properly in the first place and could not be returned. Still have it collecting dust instead of evacuating exhaust from my engine.

I am not a kid with the "pedal to the metal" concept of driving but I do drive it hard here and there and like to have the extra kick at WOT.

I can get a brand new stock front pipe for about $300 CDN, install it and be done with it for the next few years to come. XS headers are out of stock and it doesn't look like it will be available anytime soon, Megan headers I can get locally for about $400 but I am afraid the quality of Megan's maybe not be any better than XS for 2x the price, DC sports will rust eventually and gains are questionable from the info I could gather, or maybe I could just find a used front pipe from someone here for cheap or maybe free if I am lucky

Basically, I am confused with my options right now. I'd prefer not to spend lots of $$ Suggestions? Solutions?

Maybe want to post in Black market for a used stock replacement. I'm sure someone has one they could sell you with all the people who now have headers.

For headers, XS has held up well. Or save your $ & get CT.
