It would probably be best if you did a search and try to find the scan from the Helms manual for our car. Here's a quick overview:

1. Open center glove box and remove fake wood trimming on both sides by pulling toward you

2. Empty your glove box and remove 2 screws on the bottom

3. Remove 2 screws holding the center console with the glove box (the screws look like the ones you removed in the glove box)

4. Pull the box out a LITTLE and you need to remove a connector for the 12V cig plug.

5. There are 2 panels you need to remove which are held in my black screws (2 or 3 on each side) and by clips; however, the driver side has an extra screw that needs to be removed underneath the steering column cover. Once you got it loose, pull up and toward you and it should come off. Driver side maybe a little tricky the first time.

6. Once you do that, there are 2 screws on each side that hold the HU in and 2 plugs in the back of the HU you need to unplug.

I don't remember why but I think you also have to remove the lower part of the front console (right below the HU). Just pull the plastic L shape piece out, unscrew 2 bolts holding it in, unplug the seat heater connectors and pop them out, and then you can take that piece out.
