eh, let'em have the false sense of security because as soon as the 6speed CLS hits the streets.....forget it! Then the max owners will have to crawl back into the forums and figure out how to contend with us

 

Man.....I guess I need to get a Maxima...cuz if you just learned to drive a stick...and can rev the motor pass 6600rpms into 7000 rpms without rev limiter kicking in...and get pretty decent 60' times....Nissan must give superdriver skills to all purchasers of their vehicles...
I believe the 1/4 mile times...but all the rest of that shit seems fishy....new driver....revved passed 6600 redline, which on manuls you can do, I bet his motor is gonna break in 2 months....and he launched pretty decently...with all that torque steer that should be present..that is bs...

 

Ehhh, I'll believe it when I race one. A lot of those posts were based on what the car "should" be able to do. I might believe the 14.37 1/4 mile, but beyond that is a stretch.

 

Im not too sure if I believe those times either, I'm not saying that it's not possible, I'm just saying that those times seem kinda fishy. My MR2-turbo ran a 14.9 stock, at the same trap speed, so something is not computing. What is the final drive of the new Max?

 

Shouldn't really matter...it shouldn't get out of 3rd for a 1/4.
